An amazing late forties, early fifties dress makes a pretty yet dramatic statement. Black silk taffeta is the base upon which a second layer of lace is applied that follows the body of the dress except for the straps and edge of the top and around the hem. All the edges of the lace are cut and left so you really see the beauty of the edges. The waist nips in and the skirt is classically full full full! I love the notched collar and low V back. To make the back even more spectacular the lace straps on either side of a row of silk covered buttons that run all down the center!The final perfect finish is the spray of hand set rhinestones that run across the front collar.
